About VES

The Virtual Exercise System (VES) has been jointly developed by CitySafe and the Metropolitan Police Service SO15 (Counter Terrorism Command) and supported by the emergency services, government agencies and business. It allows organisations to plan and practice their response to major incidents such as flooding or terrorist attacks from their desks. Participants are guided through a realistic scenario to test their response, identify existing gaps and challenge the assumptions in their continuity plans. They also have the opportunity to ask questions of the test-experts and share information in the secure forum.

The free exercises are a cost effective way for businesses large and small, to practice their response to a major incident.

VES minimises the cost and absence from work, and dramatically reduces the challenges of exercising large numbers of staff, at the same time increasing and documenting collective knowledge.
